Episode 100: 44 minutes running time
A huge welcome from Studio L in Oxfordshire, England where we’re celebrating our 100th show by… bringing you some of the best music you’ve heard so far this year.
Talkie bits:
* The Cheese Game is another bust for Soph. Bwahahaha!
* Go and see Echo Boomer at Oxford’s Jericho Tavern on Thursday 18th February 2010
* Bren’s been ill all week and Soph hasn’t killed anyone
* Question to and answer from Warning! Heat Ray! (aka Ash) about the vocal drop-ins on last week’s track Spit It Out
* Bren’s been ill. And nothing to do with piles. But has Soph been beating him up in his sleep every night?
* News that Fanfarlo‘s album Reservoir has been voted album of the year by thefourohfive.com – and keen listeners to this show will know that Fanfarlo’s Reservoir was also voted album of the year by… Bren! The fact that thefourohfive.com is one of the publications that Bren writes for is purely coincidental. No, really!
* Random reflections back to the Saturday night of the 90s on ITV with a reference to Gladiators and Blind Date
* Soph asking Bren if his cock aches whilst stroking her beard (WTF??)
* Bizarre conversation about fisting
* What is it, exactly, that trainee vets do?
* One of Soph’s customers asking if she had any books on shopping
* Another of Soph’s customers about to name her soon-to-be-born twins after a notorious pair of East London criminals (surname: Kray). WTF? (again)
* If Dracula was on Celebrity Big Brother, would he show up on cameras?
* Soph being grounded for going to see Dracula (the film). But how did her mother come to be driving past the cinema?
* Is a drag race a ‘let’s see how fast we can get these girls clothes on’ race?
* If your grandmother was a vampire, would she be Nan The Impaler?
* Finally been to see Avatar. You know what? It’s a pretty damn fine film
You want more? Really?
